Question about Xonvea

Can your doctors prescribe you xonvea (uk) or is there another name for this that it goes by? I’ve seen so many people call it a miracle drugs that I asked if I could try it but got told that it can only be dispensed in a hospital setting? Basically got told that I would have to get bad again to end up in hospital for IV fluid and then I could have it in hospital if I asked

Doxylamine/pyridoxine (Xonvea) i got prescribed xonvea by a dr in the UK straight away, but I found that lots of various people in the health care system had never heard of it. I hope you are able to get some or something else that works!

That’s crazy! It is Doxylamine and vitamin b6 as Hattie said, and it is over the counter in Australia and widely used jn the HG community. I’m shocked at how hard I’ve been hearing it is to get in the UK

I recently got prescribed this by my GP ( Scotland) but he told me that the nice guidelines have changed and it's actually one of their first drugs to prescribe. https://cks.nice.org.uk/topics/nausea-vomiting-in-pregnancy/management/management/#:~:text=Prescribe%20oral%20cyclizine%20or%20promethazine,woman%20after%2024%2D72%20hours. I've popped the link there hopefully it works for you. it's was updated in Feb this year so they should be following it. I would remake an appt with your GP and get them to look. saying that it was bugger to find a chemist who would order it. but I would call it a miracle drug for sure. it's given me my life back.
