Last time, once I could get up, I had a shower and got into some clean pjs, it was the best feeling. I’ve packed some nice new pjs for this time round too 😊 then packed a tracksuit for when I can come home. The ward is usually quite warm so I’ve gone short sleeve & long leg pjs but I’m also packing a light dressing gown. I used disposable underwear for the first few days and then just big knickers & maternity pads xx
I had to have the catheter in an extra 24 hours so nighties were definitely the most practical thing to wear!
I wore black cotton trousers and black nursing vests .. with a naternity bra with nipple pads .. I wore flip flops too and the frida c section disposable pants xx
I wore huge knickers pads and loose pyjamas! I was in for 3 days after my emergency section with my son and lived in high waist jama shorts and crop tops 😂 I’m a really hot person anyway but the hospital was roasting!! I’m having an elective in just over a week and I’ve packed loose jama shorts, loose jama trousers and a nightie just to cover all basis!xx
I stayed in a hospital gown until my catheter came out and I could walk. Then I just wore big comfy clothes. This wasn’t until like 18-20 hours after my c section. But yes you can bring whatever you want to wear
The midwife helped me changed in to my own nightie which I found the best thing to wear due to having a catheter once the catheter was out I wore baggy pjs
I wore a lounge set with easy boob access for feeding. Big knickers, a big pad and a comfy bralette.
It was September and I wore a t-shirt and disposable underwear!
Once I had the feeling back in my legs and my catheter out, the nurse helped me to change my pads and put a button-front nightie and my own underwear on. I'm taking the same again this time. It was easy to do skin to skin and to breastfeed baby.
