This can be completely normal to ebf babies, it typically lasts a few weeks. Most providers will only treat if they have other signs of constipation like straining or hard poops.
My son is 5 weeks old and he doesn't poop often either. 9 out of 10 feeds are breast milk. We supplement with formula when necessary. My nephew was also EBF and he hardly pooped too lol
@Mish oh thanks hon, that’s reassuring 🙏
@MK right…. I hear that thank you so much x🙏
@Leslie aww bless them, thank you hon🙏
Normal, my little girl 7 weeks goes one in three days roughly. Health visitor said it was fine and to only be concerned if haven’t been 5/7 days x
Try probiotics drops. It helps my baby stay regular and it’s good for their gut health
This happened with my baby and then we started putting her in the bouncer seat after she ate so she could sit up and the wiggling got her pooping more lol
Very normal i my baby will soon be 4w and ebf her and i was worried because she went from pooping 2/3 times a day to not pooping for DAYS!! She also feeds and pees very good. And doesn’t seem to be in any discomfort. I have used the frida windi’s 1 time but i couldn’t use it again i was soo scared lol i felt like i was hurting her or something im traumatized lol its scary using that haha u could try it maybe its not so traumatizing for u lol
Yes definitely can be normal . Just keep vitamins in the baby and eat green foods to help baby . They can taste what you eat . Would be a concern to me after day 5
Did she get the rotavirus vaccine??? @Sonia
I seriously don't know why, but Little Remedies Gripe water always gets my daughter to poop. Specifically Little Remedies, none of the other gripe water brands have that affect on her
Mine did the same and he is now pooping a lot of it last a few weeks and was done.
Two of my triplets were like this. Middle one went once every ten days. It was honestly a great thing as it was one less lot of mess! Appreciate it whilst you can because soon they become toddlers going all the time but taking their nappy off themselves 🤨 this might just be mine though!

Its not normal but is common. Such a difference here with language. All babies should poo daily. It could be your diet, try and increase your fibre intake or could be something with babies gut, maybe down to latch if swallowing a lot of air or due to tongue tie, even tension from birth x
Mine did the same thing it does vary but trust they will go eventually. Be prepared as it will be ALOT
@Rachael my son's pediatrician and my midwife have both said that with breastfed babies it's normal for them not to have a bowel movement everyday, especially around 6-8 weeks because they are going through a growth spurt and they are utilizing all of the nutrients in the breast milk and there is not enough bulk to create a stool every day. So not a difference in language, potentially a difference in medical opinion.
@Priscilla yes she did
@Christina will do thank you
Completely normal!! My son goes through phases of this as his needs change and my body responds to those changes :) As long as your baby isn’t uncomfortable, she is fine!! 🖤
@Elyssa thanks x
@MK sorry but I disagree. As I say, it's common but it is not normal.
@MK nowhere in that paragraph does it say its normal! I've had this information from several medical professionals, who are clinically trained and experienced in lactation. I'd take their word over yours. Thank you.
Yes, it can be completely normal, mine did the same for a while. The doctor checked her over and apparently EBG babies can just use up all the nutrients in the milk so there is no poo. It only lasted about a month and since then she’s had 1-3 dirty nappies a day
