Anybody induced with Dilapan - S?
Hi, I’m 39 weeks pregnant. I was told
I will be induced at my due date (next week) with dilapan. Has anybody been induced using dilapan? How was your experience. I had a cervical stitch with was removed 2 weeks ago. I was hoping to give birth by now but seems like my baby isn’t ready to come out yet :)) they will induce me as I am 40yrs old.

@Melissa thank you. Did you stay in the hospital while the rods were in? Did they give you anything else (like a gel or drip) for you to go into labour or did it happen naturally?
I had the rods at 38+2 due to reduced movement but they didn’t do anything for me unfortunately
I had the rods inserted and then 12 hours later they told me I was 1 cm dilated and they could go on with the induction by breaking my waters. I had to stay all this time at the hospital, though I think it depends on each case
Yes, I stayed in the hospital. I wasn’t given anything else for labour to happen naturally.

I did at 41 weeks. Had the rods removed the following day but there was no change. Went into labour at 41+2, then had my waters broken and baby born at 41+3
