Constipation

Hey mommas, my baby has been testing solids for a little over a month now and he’s been having issues pooping. I’ve tried prunes, prune juice, Mommy’s Bliss Constipation Ease, and water. What else can I do to help him? 😩

You could give him pureed dates , just one maybe. They can use blowouts and gas

Pears and pear juice can work, too. It's an unfortunate side effect of switching diets, especially in little ones.

We bought the gerber prune and apple juice and that did the trick. Another thing I did when I noticed him pushing was i put his knees up to his chest to help him push. Humans poop easily when they are more in a squatting position

My baby had this too happening. Before introducing solids, I exclusively breast-feed. I did offer her purées of prunes, but that did not work so I went back to exclusively breast-feeding her for a day and a half until her poop came back, it was a big one, then I reintroduced solids a lot slower now she’s doing well. I hope this works for you.

I noticed that she kept grunting, but wasn’t passing poop so after the prunes didn’t work, I just decided to breast-feed her again and it all passed through

miralax and infant suppositories is what our pediatrician recommended to us. we tried all of the natural things beforehand and it had been a week of no success and finally we tried miralax and it helped a little bit with gas and we tried the suppositories and it got everything out however don’t do them a ton they can become dependent on needing them to poop

I’ve been using infant probiotics
