Induction to going natural.

1st baby I was induced (just pessary as progressed fast) and gave birth within 2 hours, this time I’m not accepting induction - will labour be slower or faster?

I was induced 1st time 6 hours done... this time contractions started 31st October at 5pm he arrived 7.57am 2nd November

@Kirstie which did you prefer? Induction or natural? I'm curious to know as I was induced the first time, and I'm due baby number 2 in 5 weeks

I felt natural was nicer and sounds weird less painful as I had time to get used to the contractions if that makes sense. Induced it all happened so quick

@Kirstie I’ve definitely heard natural is less painful, my induction was so intense I was having 15 second breaks between contractions it was horrendous so hoping it’s a lot smoother this time around.

@Kirstie yeah that totally makes sense because with induction, the contractions just come out of nowhere, don't they. I'm hoping for a natural birth this time around

@Becky yep 1 min I was enjoying my burger King the next my mum is rushing me in to delivery ward 🤣🤣.. and yes my burger King came with me lmao

Was induced first time, labor was fast. Natural the second time. Labor was still fast once the contractions organized. For me, the contractions were way smoother with natural. When I was induced, I had mostly double contractions, very little break between (like you said). I was in labor from like 10a-2p. I used nitrous gas for pain relief. My second, contractions started around 5a, but we didn't go to the hospital until around 2p. I would say that was the same level of pain as induction contractions then. Baby was out at 4:30. But I also had the regular contraction breaks for that one so it was easier and I used no pain management drugs. Will also note, my recovery was so much better. I was ready to get up and move around 2hes after birth. (My first I didn't want to move for over a day.

@Katherine that’s so lovely to hear thank you for that, needed to hear positives! I know it’s not always positive but it’s best to go in with an open positive mind isn’t it 🫶
