How much

How much should a 7 month old be eating? I’m worried she isn’t eating enough

I am in the same boat 😫😓

My baby is 8 months now and I do a mix of BLW and purées. Some days she will eat a lot porridge for breakfast, a sandwich fruit and yoghurt for her lunch, then mash with veg for dinner. Some days she’ll only eat once and some nothing! That’s what she will eat as an example on a good day but she will eat as little or as much of it as she wants. I don’t force her to finish as she’ll purse her lips shut when she’s full 😂 and she’s topped up with milk anyway. 7oz bottle 3 times a day is what I offer and she’ll drink as much or as little as she wants. The days she doesn’t want any food at all she’ll have more milk. Their stomachs are quite small so they get full quick so just offer what you want her to eat and if she’s hungry she will eat it. You can tell when they want more so always have a lil extra ready just in case! But aslong as she’s having her milk too she’ll be okay mama! It’s just our natural mothering instincts that want us to feed them more food so they are in food comas!! ❤️

There’s honestly no rush! The aim is to be on 3 meals by 1yr old. At 7 months old, my two children were only on 1 meal a day, 2 meals by 8-9months and then 3 meals by 12months.

Food before 1 is just for fun take your time

When do they start eating not purées and actual foods? I'm so lost. Approx what age/time?

@Alina they can from 6 months - puree isn’t actually needed at all x

@Alina from 6 months. I didn’t bother with purée x

At first it’s really not about how much they eat but exposing them to different types of textured foods and flavors. Keep going. You got this!
