Soups

What soups can a 15 month old eat? Like is there a specific brand I should stay away from? Should I just say fuck it and make it home made? My little dude is sick and I thought like chicken noodle soup might be good but again I’m not sure if it’s okay to just buy a can or not

He should be able to eat any. The only one my little boy will eat is the vegetable one so far. I plan to start doing home-made soups when my little boy starts nursery & I have more time.

Homemade is the most ideal but if not, just make sure to check the salt content. Not sure what's recommended in the US but in the UK 2g of salt would be the maximum recommended per day for that age.

Best to make it yourself ❤️ I make my 13 month old soup with any veggies I have at home. I always begin by sautéing onion & garlic in olive oil, this adds rich flavour (i’m not keen on adding salt just yet). Then add whatever veggies you have available. I normally use chopped sweet potato or normal potato, carrots, butternut squash, zucchini, 1 spoonful of red lentils + 1 spoonful of rice (wash them first). If your little one is sick I’d 100% recommend adding chicken broth. Garlic is natures antibiotic&chicken broth is good for loosening mucus. Hope this helps ❤️
