ARFID diagnosis

Long shot but has anyone gone to the Dr for their little one with suspected ARFID and got a successful diagnosis? I am at my wits end with my boy eating. I've tried everything under the sun to try and get him to eat different foods and he just refuses to try anything new. I've tried using incentives, punishment, talking him through it, ignoring him, getting him to help me cook/prepare, changing where he eats, his plates, cutlery. Honestly everything. I am so totally exhausted and sick of wasting food. Has anyone been successful with the Dr? Is it just a wasted route to go down and should I keep struggling? I'm so lost ☹️

Nope been trying for the same! They said I had to go through my health visitor who said it’s just their age and to keep trying over the next year or two x

I've heard this a lot with most health professionals putting it down to them being fussy or their age. It's such hard work isn't it! I'm afraid of being judged for being a bad mum for not trying hard enough ☹️

Reach out to Felix Economakis, at the least he could point you in the right direction. Its tricky with them being so young. I dont even think most GPs even know what it is honestly

I’m just about to start this journey with my 3 year old, I have given it time and time and more time and nothing is helping or working and I’m at my wits end 😢😢
