Oh we're the same. He used to eat absolutely everything but for us it's actually changed just after his first birthday, so this has been going on for a while. He's also been teething and cutting his last four molars since early August which I think has affected his eating even more. But we're at a total loss of what to serve him for dinner. He's very reluctant to try new things and has maybe one or two meals he will definitely eat but that's it 😭
Same here. We try and have a "safe" food on her plate but are still serving her what we are having and aren't pressuring her to eat anything. I figure it's a phase and the less I change things to accommodate her the better
Our daughter’s eating habits also changed after her first birthday, then continued to go downhill from there. I know it’s a normal phase (and a positive thing in evolutionary terms) but it drives me crazy too! There was a phase when all she wanted was protein (meat and tofu). Fruit is generally a no-go apart from the odd banana, most veggies used to be ok but are now refused across the board . Pasta and toast are back in her good books though. Ooh from writing this I can see how food groups revolve in and out, so defo all phases. Have you guys found the same? I wish I was one of the parents who have to remortgage their homes to afford their toddler’s berry habit 🤣 would be so much less stressful than this! 🙃
Unless it’s snacks and fruit he don’t want it 😂
My toddler is exactly the same and it's so frustrating. Am having to do everything in fritter/pancake form so that he'll eat it as he loves pancakes. Am hoping it's just a phase and that offering him different things will being him out of it
You are not alone. My daughter refuses veg even though she used to eat it (at least some), won't eat meat unless it's in dipper/goujon form. Odd occasions she'll do mince if it's hidden (spag bol). I've found that serving snack plates seems to help (small amounts of 4/5 things) so that she can choose which bit she wants to eat. I normally include crackers, breadsticks type things, cream cheese for dipping, cubes of cheese, cucumber, fruit, small biscuits. That kind of stuff. Other thing is if I'm eating something she doesn't have, she wants to try some.
