Thank you! A family member recommended goats milk too but then a doctor told me not to use it as not enough is known about it apparently ?
The protein in goat amd sheep's milk are very similar to cow, so if it is cmpa won't help. Our little one has had bad reflux since 6w old, but she was also born very early it's common for preemies. Is there any trouble putting on weight or yucky nappies? Are you already on meds, they may need to be adjusted for current weight if you are. I would go back to your gp/outreach team. We kept getting told it will be much better when they are 6 months old, but thar doesn't help when it's so far away at the moment and you're covered in sick
@Vic he has quite a few big dirty nappies and has always pooped a lot but they’re becoming more regular now. I’m just on his usual vitamins for premmie babies - not meds as such. Which do you mean? Good point about the goats milk - he’s just on Aptamil top ups at the minute. Weight gain is ok. Have you just been carrying on as normal?
We're in a bit of a different situation as she is super dinky so on high calorie milk and very focused on keeping milk in! So weekly weigh ins and keeping a close eye on her. May be worth talking to gp or hv about options for reflux, we've got gaviscon and omeprazole which help enormously.
Could be an allergy! I’d bring it up to your doc/GP. I’ve been cutting out dairy for similar symptoms and have seen a great difference. There are dairy free-breastfeeding and CMPA groups on Facebook that are very helpful too as you navigate.
