@Jessica Oo you’re a week ahead of me then appointment wise, so does sound like January! I’m slightly happy if that’s the case for me, as I feel like Christmas is a hard time anyway without the added medications etc!! This is my first round of IVF so just nervous / excited / scared haha! My SIL’s are 12 weeks pregnant following their first IVF round! Hoping we both have the same luck! 🥰
You can deffo choose to start later if they can start over Xmas. But I will Let you know our recommended timeframe if you like? I hate all the unknown so Can’t wait to just get an idea. X
Depends on your clinic, protocol & timings. So my clinic is open for scans / nurse appointments during the Xmas break. But the surgery is closed, so no retrievals or transfers. So if you’re only needing monitoring and your retrieval would fall after the Xmas break you might be able to start now. But, if you would retrieve during the Xmas break they will likely push to the new year. It also depends on you, do you want to chill and get the Xmas period over without thinking about injections etc. or are you desperate to start. Personally, I would wait, but I know that wouldn’t be for everyone. Especially when you want to get started.

Consultation was great! Very informative, for my clinic I could potentially start some meds In dec but stims and collection after Xmas/new year for sure! She said they are only closed 2 days but it’s harder to time because of that and people have already been booked in that can have it December if any of that makes sense lol

I believe most will do January now? I have my consultation today (private) but had a pre consultation phone call and was told likely Jan now, but I will let you know if they say I can start in dec. (this is my first time though so may be different for me)
