I had a shower 12 hours after my last section in the hospital, it was the best feeling ever, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t allow you to shower at the hospital after. As long as you’re steady enough on your feet. Regarding showering at home, if you mean your shower is over your bath, you’ll be fine but you might need a hand getting in and out for the first week or so I would say. If you mean you only have a bath, I don’t think you’re suppose to bath until your incision has heeled externally and I think you’d struggle getting in and out to start with. x
I had an emergency c section with my son, I had showers in the hospital afterwards (I was in for 3 days after) and had no trouble getting in and out of my bath for a shower at home , if anything, I felt a lot better then I thought I was going to afterwards. Don’t get me wrong it was painful and I’m nervous about my next c section next week 😂 but I wasn’t completely immobile like I always assumed happened after a section!xx
I had an emergency section with my son and I didn’t have a full shower until about 3 days post op but our shower is over the bath too. I was on getting in and out but did require the assistance of my partner in supporting my weight and making sure I was kicking my feet back enough to cover the bath. I found almost donkey kicking easier than lifting my leg to the front of me, if that makes any sense?
