Recycle at Boots

Hi Mums, I just wanted to share in case anyone else is into this kind of thing, or could use the extra ££. Boots has a new recycling scheme where for every 5 items you recycle in store, you get £5 worth of points. (You do have to make a purchase of £10 after recycling the items in order to get the points, so this only works if you were going to buy something anyway) Where it gets interesting is that a lot of baby stuff that we all use count as recycling items such as empty baby wipe packs, baby food pouches, empty formula containers, etc. The small Ella’s Kitchen pouches are 6 for £5.50 now, so if you recycle 5 of them, you get £5 back, which means you actually make about 9p profit off each one. There are restrictions, so read the T’s and C’s but really cool if you want to do some extra recycling and live near a Boots with a recycling drop off.♻️♻️♻️♻️♻️

This is amazing and I wish I knew about it sooner! I’ve got £50 worth of boots points! Breastmilk bags count too, which I wish I had known sooner!

Oooh I didn’t know that breast milk bags count, thank you! For anyone thinking of trying this out, the restrictions I found so far are that you can only get £5 worth of points per day. You can recycle more than 5 items per day, but you’ll only get 500 points regardless of how many items you recycle that day. You can’t buy gift cards for £10, unfortunately. I tried that today. Oh and you don’t have to have bought the items at Boots to recycle them there either! They can be from anywhere.

This is awesome! Thank you

Thanks for this! Do you need an app? I found the recycling point at my boots, but just didn’t quite understand how to get the points

@Gabrielle oh sorry, I should have mentioned that. It is a separate app (called Recycle at Boots) and you need to create an account and then link your Boots Advantage account to it.
