I would do the same if my son had his own room
Not at all, I wish my little boys room was closer, he gets bored of the toys in the livingroom so quickly 😅
It's great your little is secure enough and skilled enough to play safely alone They know you're there and will come if they need Is your friend a mum?
@Tammy yeah to a 2 and a half year old which shocks me and also lives in a flat similar
Tbh I think you are raising an amazing child. As independent play is something that’s encouraged and it indicates that your child is smart enough to entertain themselves etc. maybe the friend is jealous, is her child clingy or anything?
I love this for you, and your daughter!! ❤️
Oh wow - sounds like they are more of a helicopter mum But to each their own - there will always be things we don't agree with, with other parenting but it's what works for us and our kids
My sons room is down the hallway in my flat and he will toddle off into his room and play then come out and bring me toys then play in the living room. He’s always played independently but he finds it funny when he goes in his room and he’ll shut the door, I’ll come open it and we play a game. Definitely not a bad mom! X
I would just secure furniture against the wall in the baby room. For the rest you good
Definitely not a bad mum, there's nothing wrong with independent play!
