@Lauryn does rear facing means facing towards the front of car ?
rear facing means facing the back window, and is much much safer x
@Emilia it means facing the back seat, away from the driver. Not sure what the law/guidelines are where you live, but in the UK it is the law to rear-face until at least 15 months
You would have to check the laws for your location. It’s likely illegal to forward face as this age. Rear facing for as long as possible is the safest option. Car seat safety technicians recommend AT LEAST age 2 before forward facing, but ideally you max out the rear facing limits on whatever seat you have. My son is almost 3 and still rear facing - we have no plans to turn his seat anytime soon.
Thank you so much everyone I’ll take a look for our laws im in Canada Quebec !
@Emilia even if the laws are that it's fine to face towards the front of the car, it's MUCH MUCH safer to rear face (face them towards the back of the car) 😊
@Dana-Claire and it’s ok to do it with that car seat :)?
@Emilia I'm not familiar with those seats but from a Google search it would seem that it is fine to have that seat rear facing. I believe those seats don't meet the safety requirements for use in the EU (where I'm from) and that's why I haven't seen them!
I’m pretty sure worldwide you legally have to have your child rear facing for a while.
My oldest sister has this car seat or similar. My nephew is 1 year old (birthday in September) and is still rear facing (facing towards back window).
Rear facing is soooo much safer!
