Those that have got rid of the dummy do your little ones sleep better since getting rid?

My little one is sleeping terribly at night. I think it’s a mixture of the 6 months regression, teething and the fact he keeps dropping his bloody dummy!! He is 6 months next week so I think now might be a good time to ditch the dummy?! But then part of me is thinking is it a bad time when he is already sleeping badly! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would love to know this too!

Also would love to know this too!! My little boy cries for his dummy in the night every couple of hours but he falls asleep the second I pop it back in. I'm wondering if he would still wake up and cry (and then take ages to get back to sleep) or whether he just wouldn't wake up if he didn't have it? 🤷‍♀️

Dummy Mumma here, we dropped the dummy and it was the best decision I’ve ever made!! We did it at 5.5 months. Don’t get me wrong, the first few nights are HARDD and there are still some days I think why did we get rid of them (in particular when teething, the 2hr wake windows in the middle of the night from regression) but I’m so pleased we did it when we did. We too were in the mist of sleep regression, teething, bad sleeping etc. We stopped with one nap first, and my plan was to reduce per nap every few days but we basically went from dropping one nap one day, to all naps by day 3 and even bedtime. I did it at the same time we moved our little one into his own room (which I thought why an earth did I do that, but again, it was all the changes at once rather than delaying, it’s what worked for us, it may not be something everyone wants to do). We are 3 weeks and going strong! Best of luck with it if you do decide to! X
