Cps advice

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had advice on dealing with cps. I haven’t dealt with them since my oldest son was adopted(non-related to present day issue) by his foster mom. That was 4 years ago. Anyways, my 5 year old is autistic and prone to getting bruises that are only ever the size of a dime or nickel, nothing ever concerning bc she runs, jumps, climbs and acts like a kid her age. Anyways, cps got a call. The only people who said anything about concerns about bruises was the teachers and the social worker at her school. They only see her 4 days out of the week for approximately 8 hours. Now I have to see this cps worker at home Tuesday and thankfully I will have a support person with me….my early head start/reach Dane family advocate who has worked with my daughter in the past and has seen her recently several times and knows how she can be. Anyways, just some advice would help. Pic of my beautiful girl. 🩷

Show your support

Hi Amber! I’ve worked with CPS when I was a staff member of Safe Families for Children. If your early head start/reach can be there on Tuesday I would definitely make sure they are able to attend the meeting!

@Samantha thank you. 🩷 yes, she said she will make sure she’s there. I told her that her being there will help. Plus my friends are coming this weekend to help with cleaning.

That’s great 👍🏻 have you heard of Safe Families for Children? They are a great resource for support and help navigate things with CPS too!

I have not @Samantha! Got any info on them? I know you said you were a staff with them but could use some insight.

Yes! I will send you a direct message ◡̈
