I wanna get off welfare, I'm just so tired of the stereotyping. Like I have a job and am trying to get a better one I have had two or 3 jobs at once but am still on welfare. I did my recertification and the lady on the phone told me if I wasn't on the cash assistance program which pays half my rent in the new development building. I would be in a shelter which was a slap in my face from one black woman to another and it just really brought me down because I knew she was right. I just wanna leave New York and start a new life with my husband and children. I need a good stable job that can stabilize my life at this age I'm just in the dirt. I'm grateful and humble thou.

I you can report her and also I was just in stop and shop my total was 200 and she asked for bags I was in a car so I said paper then said you know what how much for the other bags cause they were Christmas themed so I might aswell get a few.. she said they 5cents but they free with ebt so your fine… miss my groceries are 200 so to think 5cent bags are my deal breaker is crazy and I ain’t paying with stamps either baby.. tapped my phone and walked out …. I don’t know why I fit the sterotype but I did .. don’t worry bout what she say worry about what you do

I feel you, sis. It's hard out here I want a fresh start with mine as well. That's why I'm working as hard as I can to hurry and graduate I have one semester left then I can go to graduate school cause this ain't it.
