Contraception help

Just asking for advice and recommendations really! I took cerezette for 10 years prior to the birth of my 1st and got on well with it. After giving birth I went back on it and had the worst anxiety that I stopped taking it after 3 days. It was so bad that I had to pull the car over and get my husband to drive because I was just so anxious on the road. We then just used the pull out method until we stopped and I fell pregnant with baby number 2 who was born on the 5th November. Now having 2 children I want a more secure method of contraception, has anyone got any recommendations? Or anything I should steer clear of? Thanks in advance!

I had the depo injection for 12 years. Never had a period. Will 100% be going bk on it wen I'm aloud.

@Kirstie thanks for the comment! I hadn't even thought of this method, I will have a look into it 🥰

@Christy no worries. It was the only thing I remembered to do lmao. Kept 4getting to take the pill and I get the worst period pains ever so the depo stopping them really helped me in that department x

I tried the depo and I gained loads of weight on it, I am a very active person usually (walking 45 mins a day at least once and 3 gym sessions) and piled on about 6kg. The implant was good but just be aware about some spotting! I never really got on with the mini pill cause of anxiety Good luck xx

The Injection made me pile on Weight and this was when I was alot younger but the Implant was amazing, initial spotting but then nothing for 3 Years

I have sworn by the implant for my form of contraception as I’m too forgetful otherwise.

I had the one that goes in the arm and had good results with that however for me if you plan more children in the future I would avoid hormonal contraception. If not the implant in the arm is what I would recommend.

The copper coil is non hormonal, after years on the pill this was a game changer, though fitting was tough and periods heavier. Can last up to 10year!
