I'd be surprised if you have anything left. You don't eat for about 12 hours before the OP and then I didn't feel like eating much once it was done. Fluids will obviously go through the catheter and if you poop during the op you won't know about it because they clean you up and you don't see or feel a thing
You have to fast so try to go to the toilet before surgery and you should be fine.
There shouldn’t be much in your stomach when you actually have surgery. Go to the toilet before you get it all out your system x
Lots of people experience constipation from the meds so you may well have the opposite issue in a few days time! Enjoy your birth how exciting ❤️
Just have to say, best title of a post ever. So all the meds they give you and the op itself tend to leave you constipated. Or maybe it’s just fear, but it took daaaays and meds… so maybe you’ll end up in a good spot where it’s not so long to wait. But in general if you are worried, the staff will be amazing, they will help you. Do you have disposable pants for after anyway? I remember being in the bathroom crying because I was too scared to bend down and pull up my pants. They helped.
Excited for you to meet your baby x
Ohhh those theatre meds block you right up for a few days 😊 you’ll be nil by mouth from tonight and then meds from the morning, should be fine. Just let them know you’ve got an upset stomach when you get there xx
I think from what I remember (had an emergency Csection in the middle of the night so was all a bit of a blur) I actually pood myself either during or after the surgery, when I suddenly realised I had to get my man to leave the room to go get something and then went help! To my midwife who cleaned everything up really quickly and discreetly. It’s nothing they’ve not all seen before they’re literally pros, whatever is going on below the waist you and your partner will know very little about it until you start walking again! 😂
Honestly I pood during my c-section afterwards you have a catheter in for a bit and your laying on an inco sheet there is no embarrassment whatsoever you can even have a trusted family member to clean up if you wanted xx I had my step mum and a midwife checking mine xx
