Does anyone else feel imposter syndrome when it comes to being an adult?

I’m 27 but I feel 20 sometimes. I live on my own with my SO currently a sahm but we’re not in a great place financially. I’m always comparing my life to others who seem to have more money, more experiences, better spouse, better jobs, and just seem to have it “all together” I use to have one friend, now I have NO friends and every time I get around people I’m anxious and feel like the black sheep or like a little kid. I’m mature but it doesn’t feel like it. I still make a lot of mistakes and it makes me feel like a kid even though I’m a mom now.

I’ve just turned 28 and still totally relate to how you’re feeling. Comparison is the thief of joy. It’s good to remind yourself that your time will come. Do you want friends?

@Leonie I know 😭 I try not to compare it’s just hard sometimes. I would love friends it’s just I don’t get out a whole lot so I don’t meet a lot of people and I find trouble relating with people on a deeper level honestly I feel like I’ve developed some type of social anxiety.

Girl I feel this in my soul and I came to say you are NOT alone

I'm 36 and rarely feel like a grown up. I'm not sure that ever comes 😂 Although, saying that... when I hang out with really actually young people like teenagers and those in their early 20s I realise I'm definitely different to them!

I am 34 and I cannot believe I am old enough to be someone's mother I still think of myself as just a girl 😂

i could have written this myself 😅

I'm 32 and still in my head I'm 16 and have no idea what I'm doing 😅 until I'm with teenagers and then realize "oh no, I am the adult" 😂

I think so many people feel exactly like this, me included! We are all just trying our best. I have a house, a job, a husband and a child and I still feel like a silly teenager who hasn’t a clue.

I'm 30, have a kid, lots of friends, m own house, a promising career, 3 degrees and I STILL FEEL LIKE THIS! Don't even think for a second other people who seem successful have it all together. I don't. Not at all 😂

i feel like i wrote this. except im 26. but yes, you’re not alone. always here if you wanna talk!

Girl I just had my 25th birthday yesterday, I’m pregnant with my second child, and my partner and I just moved into our own place with our 1 1/2yo, but I still feel like I’m 16 and clueless sometimes 😭

I'm 28, married with 2 kids and have a mortgage and still feel like I'm pretending to be an adult 😂 not sure it ever changes!
