My approach to doing my part is being friendly and just draw close to the hurting without a first approach of preaching the gospel to them (I can show Christ through my interaction and actions). This is not deceptive! I let people know my faith and relationship with God. I listen and encourage them while being mindful to not frighted them. I do pray for them in my prayer time and share encouragement and scriptures with them on the platform when I can and leave the rest to the holyspirit to ochestrate. What I have noticed is light attract light. In a world where people strugggle to go to church due to their negative experiences of being judged, the moment they discover you are one of them (unbelievers can’t differentiate Christians. They assume you will also condemn them if they open up to you, especially if they've had their fair share of church drama), they just won't listen or want to be around you.
Christians should be relatable. I discovered this is the new approach to evangelism for me. Being a decent human being who truly care and doesn't see others less of human because they don't share similar faith. I don’t need to advertise Jesus to really have someone give their life to Christ. The holyspirit is teaching me and I'm learning to approach evangelism in a different way. I hope you get deep revelation on how to go about your ministry of drawing the lost sheeps to Chrsit. I think we all need to remind ourselves that Jesus didn't come for the righteous, he came for the unrighteous. Good luck 🙏🏼
Thank you for voicing your concern and truly, it takes courage and empathy to disclose these unfortunate discoveries. Like you, I have observed these issues through people sharing their experiences on pods or writting about their daily challenges whether its in an abusive relationship or living in poor conditions or difficulty raising kids as single moms, however disheartning these all are and the desire to want do something about it, I have always reflect on John 4:48. The situations you've disclosed are tough and unless you've lived one you might not truly understand how preaching to somone to give their life to Christ in the midst of Chaos sound to them. I have been in critical conditions in my life where I didn’t want to hear about Jesus (it sound like a fire alarm) or other evangelism approached Christian deploy to preach the gospel, however, I long for someone to sit and talk with me - for someone to not be judgemental or mentioned I must have sinned to have experienced the unfortunate.
