Anyone relate? Is it normal to not feel like being mummy for the day?

Some days does anyone else just think I was not built for motherhood 😂🤦‍♀️ is this a normal feeling, some days I can not be bothered to play with my 16 month old or even interact with anything and feel terrible! Then think was I actually meant to be a mum because I don’t think I want this life this week 😭

i feel you mama. it’s currently 4:38 am and i’m drained already smh 🤦🏽‍♀️ wish i could take a break today… well this week lol

It’s normal to be burnt out, overstimulated, touched out, overwhelmed. That’s not mum life- that’s just, life. And motherhood compounds that heavily so we all need outlets to rely on, when we feel like that so we have some balance. I think people are lying if they say they’ve never felt any of those. I have moments during the week which I get 1-2 hrs undistracted doing my own thing, and Friday nights I tag out completely and go out. Do what you need to do to keep yourself sane, happy, and refreshed. Friend and hobbies help me with that. But sometimes I just wanna lie on the beach for 3-4hrs to myself and watch the sunset, so that’s what I do.

Absolutely. I usually work 4 days a week and have my son on Fridays but today he is going to the childminder and my husband and I are going into London for a day out. I also took Monday off this week while he was at the childminder and I got a pedicure and massage. I've been feeling super burnt out lately and I know I need these days to myself or I'll go insane so it's totally normal!
