@Kayla I’m all the way in warroad. Not even close to the city 😭 it seems like there’s not even any kids in the area my son’s age either. As far as hobbies go honestly I’m pregnant so I kinda lost myself again and I’m adjusting to this winter! I’m from Florida and I was not prepared for the negative degrees lol
Oh I love Warroad, we stop there on the way to Winnipeg. Columbia is the brand of winter clothes that I invest in, they have good sales and are warm and durable. Check out the Warroad Community Ed flyer: https://core-docs.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/1190/Warroad_ISD/5093385/2024_Community_Education.pdf
It says they have Warroad Women of Today, that would be a great group of women to connect with, we have a chapter in my area and they do good work
i don’t have any words for you to make you feel better and it’s not exactly the same, but you are not alone. my fiancé his hispanic and his family is and they all speak spanish and we’ve been together for 6 years now and i still don’t know spanish 😩 it’s very hard for me to learn cuz im a slower learner and to me it’s SO COMPLICATED. his family says they don’t care that i don’t know it but i feel deep down they do (my fil lives in mexico so like i just know he wished i knew it) we’re 2 kids in and i had to buy myself a book for spanish just to try learning bc i don’t want my kids knowing spanish and i still don’t 🥲
also to add my kids are 6 m and 3 yrs so if we were closer i’d definitely hangout with you (i had to look were like 8 hours😅)
Girl I’m moving to Minnesota! For my man too🥲 I’m definitely gonna be alone. I’m moving to Brainerd ! I’m Hispanic I can help you within Spanish if need be 🥰
Where in Minnesota? Do you have any hobbies or interests? It really helps to get involved with your local community around here to find friends like art/kids activities, community education, volunteering at the animal shelter around town, music scene, etc. Just stuff that bring you together with local people. Maybe your local community college or community education has Spanish classes you could take. My county WIC office hosts events where moms come together and it’s been a good way to not feel so alone
