Sounds like you'll be on the pill if your egg collection is scheduled for Feb. I had a similar timeline for mine and started with pill programming too
@Charley did it startin your period? Or on day 21?
I can give you my experience- UK clinic, long protocol. Day 21: prostap (injection to block your normal hormonal cycle- essentially a chemical menopause) and Norethisterone for a few days. Then I had a withdrawal bleed and around 15 days later I had a baseline scan and started injections. Egg collection around 12 days later.
So I took the pill for 3 weeks, then stopped and had a withdrawal bleed, and the first day of that counted as day 1 of my cycle and then injections started in that cycle.
Each clinic is different I was never on the pill and as most clinics will say day one is from when you fill a pad not when you see a first bit of blood but depends on what the dr has told you to do and try not to have sex while doing the injections and egg retrieval but if you do use a condom
Hello, first i want to say good luck on your journey. Im waiting my FET after first cycle egg retrieval which would be in February. So when I started my period, they had me taking birth control and then I started my injections. The injections are not bad at all I would say. So it depends on your clinic's protocol.
