@Stephanie it's classed as ICI and IVI i think. But it's alone the same lines. You syringe the sperm up to the cervix
I think it depends on why you are planning to use it. If you are using a donor or you are trying to overcome specific issues, like vaginismus or something that's preventing penetrative sex, then I could see it being helpful. I haven't tried it myself but did 5 actual IUIs. I know IUI only increases chances a small amount. I'd expect the at home version to have an even smaller impact.
I haven't tried them, but I don't think they are really IUI as IUI involves placing sperm directly into the uterus so it bypasses all the other barriers they have to travel to
