SM not by choice - what's your life like

Are you working? Childcare? Daycare? Living situation? I'm curious because I feel so lost and I need a home and a job otherwise I won't make it mentally and emotionally. I just don't know what to do. We live with Grandpa and have to get out of here but I have nothing. What do I do?!!! Paint a picture please

My ex and I were living private rent in leeds with no immediate family around but he got arrested and I was struggling for support so I chose to move to my parents home and pay for my other place so money was tight for like a good year. I then went back to uni in Feb to complete my degree and looked after my son full time and put him in childcare part time after summer. I just went back to work last month my sons in full time childcare, I applied for the UC 85% back thing so that’s really helpful. It’s been a stressful and overwhelming two years or so but it’s definitely getting better! I’m about to start my driving lessons and I’ve been saving to find somewhere for me and my son because I’m still at my family home and it’s not ideal but it’s comfortable for now It gets better, take it day by day -as cliche as it sounds 🥰

@Makeda what's UC 85% back??? Thank u for writing!!!

It’s okay, it’s this https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/universal-credit. My manager told me about it to help me so I don’t feel like my wage is just going on childcare x
