Friends

Has anyone else lost friends since being pregnant? I’ve just lost my best mate who happened to be my only mate and it’s incredibly lonely.

Hey, sorry to hear that you've lost your friend and that you are feeling lonely. Have you got any relatives to talk to? If you have and you can talk to them maybe you'd be best talking to them about your feelings. Don't stay quiet and bottle everything up to yourself. if you haven't already, I'm sure you will find other mum friends and mums to be who would love to be your friend. Chin up lovley! X

Yes all of my friends seem to have become distant as well even if I try to arrange to meet all I get now is they’re busy, I also feel lonely

@Eden Yes thank you my family are incredible and so supportive and will definitely help me through this. I hope I do find some mum friends but I’m also very scared that It will be hard for me to find friends as I’m only 18. Thank youu very much for your kinds words! ❤️ x

@Katie This happened to me as feel I felt so forgotten and when I brought it up we ended having an argument. It’s definitely hard but the thing that’s getting me through is just knowing that at the end of my pregnancy I will have a best friend built in for life. I hope you have family to talk to try and ease the feeling, but I am always here if you need to chat! ❤️

That’s exactly how I’m thinking, I’m making my own little family inside right now and it’s all that matters, ditto to you too needing support x

Yes, unfortunately, my twin sister completely distanced herself during my first pregnancy, and it’s the same now. She hasn’t even sent a simple “congratulations” since she found out I’m pregnant, let alone asked how I’m feeling. All she does is send photos of her plans and meals—that’s the extent of our relationship. I’m not even sure if I should bring up the pregnancy again because she absolutely ignores the topic, as if I weren’t pregnant at all. I feel incredibly lost and unsure about what to do.
