I have been on the pill since I was 15 or 16, so probably about ~17-18 years on it, not including my 2 pregnancies. The reason I initially started it was to regulate my periods and moods, and during a time I decided to be off since I wasn't having sex and thought why not? In that time I did notice a difference in my appetite growing again and I was a bit happier, but it lasted only few months. I decided to get back on it to once again stabilize my moods and cycle. I have tried the iud and hated it! Gave me uti's monthly, and towards the end of nexplanon implant, I noticed I was becoming full of rage and didn't want that. Once it was removed, I went through a short period of depression due to the drop in hormones from it. All that to say, with how long I have been on the pill, it's thr only thing that works for me
My friend got the implant and gained 200 pounds and it got lost it took them 4 hours in surgery to find it to take it out so that scared me out of that
Maybe talk to your doctor about testing your genes or something to see if you can regulate with other meds in additionto the pill. I think men should get snipped because it is literally the safest option for all parties, but most of them are scaredy cats.
@Nabila i thought about that too. Giving it a break all together
@Sookie Oh wow. That's crazy how our bodies got so use to something that when we stop it or try something else, we're all out of whack 😯
@Jo oh nooo😱
IMO, take a break and detox before adding the IUD. Nuva ring can be uncomfortable and sometimes can feel like it’s falling out.
