Free hours as self employed

I’m looking to go back into working day jobs. They aren’t repeat clients so wondering what I am expected to show the gov of my advanced clients as they are all one off jobs. Any one know?

You don’t need to show anything in advance. They would check your tax return with hmrc to ensure you are earning the average amount required.

@N 💞 thank you! 🙏 does that mean I need to have earned something recent/this tax year or they will check in the following tax year?

@J 💃 no you don’t need to have earned anything already, they say if you’re self employed and have started the business in the last 12 months the amount you can earn is different (doesn’t say what) but then it says do you ‘expect to earn … a month’ I can’t remember the exact figure but it’s not that high. I did expect to earn that much so I said yes and l was eligible. I’ve been self employed for 16 months now and have had no issues with receiving the funded childcare hours, I’ve never been asked for anything but I did my tax return in April last year so I’m guessing they checked that
