How to introduce wheat?

I want to introduce wheat as I’m slowly trying to tick off the main allergens but we are not BLW so toast is out of the picture. How should I introduce it? I saw I can do it via porridge but can someone recommend a good porridge brand they used? My baby has CMPA so it can’t contain any milk. Thank you x

I just buy any supermarkets own porridge oats and blend them up to a fine powder! Can add breast milk/formula/cows milk to that to make porridge! Cheap too!x

However, I don’t believe oats contain wheat? Could you try 1/3 of a weetabix instead?

Wheatabix x

Hi! Couscous is made from wheat! You could blend it up once cooked xx

Aw brilliant thank you! Don’t know why but I didn’t even think of weetabix x

My girl loves it. I mix it with breast milk and heat it for 20 seconds. Can also add mushy banana if you want :)

@Phoebe I spent so long trying to figure out what to give my LG just for it to something I already have at home. Mum brain 😩

I used weetabix to introduce wheat, made with my LOs milk as he also has CMPA

If you need help with any other things for a CMPA baby please feel free to message me as I had no idea the things that we can still make them that don't contain dairy x

It's correct that oats don't contain wheat. But; they're something someone with an allergy can never eat, because of the guaranteed contamination from other grains. If you're testing allergies, yes they contain wheat, but not enough to test the allergy.
