Stopping estrogen and progesterone as part of IVF

In the process of phasing out mine this week! (Will be 12 weeks on Friday) x

@Nicola oh you were asked to phase out? I was told to hard stop... Do you feel anything or any different?

My clinic also said stop cold turkey, which felt very strange. But followed their advice and no issues. Currently snuggling my 6 day old IVF baby from our 4th transfer 🩵

I was on progesterone - pessaries and injections every day. Clinic said just stop at 12 weeks.. I was really apprehensive like you so dropped pessaries down from 3 to 2 a day for a week before and then did 1 for like an extra week and then just stopped. It was absolutely fine to stop and I don’t think I needed to wean down at all - I just know how you feel. Didn’t have any effects. Wish I hadn’t bothered really and just stopped when they said :) Not sure about estrogen but friends of mine just stopped progesterone as well on the dot. Also currently snuggling 5 month old baby boy :) x

@Kavita yes just between week 11-12 gradually dropping down dosages :) so far no effects x
