Yes! at 25weeks, found another one the next week and they got me in right away! All i had to do was fax my medical records to the new one and they called me in for an appointment the next week.
If you feel like firing them, I know you got a good reason. I just switched practice at week 29, this time it wasn’t due to lack of satisfaction but wanting a place better suited for my needs. But I should have fired my last ob/gyns when I was pregnant last time. They are paid by us, not the other way around. I have some recommendations for good options if you need it. This time I did find the new one before stopping the existing one.
@Celinee can i ask the prices of a waterbirth?
@Celinee What birth center did you use?
@Noelle I’m not sure my insurance is paying for it entirely. I’m unemunemployed and have Medicaid through HRA nyc
@Kato I’m using the Brooklyn birthing center . They just moved to a brand new location
@Kato I believe there’s a birthing center in Manhattan and also one in Jersey. But I’ll look to make sure for the Manhattan one.
@Kato if you have insurance call them to see the water birthing centers they work with. But Manhattan has several I see on Google but one named NUMC birthing center
@Celinee Thanks! I will definitely check those out
Yes I fired mines when I told her I was doing a water birth. She had nothing but negative things to say ! And she even had a fit in front of staff at the front desk when she told them to print out my papers and not schedule a next appointment. She also put me on medication I didn’t need. I just couldn’t deal with her opinions. I switched over to a birthing center immediately where I’ll be doing a water birth. Everything is so smooth there no opinions they care about my feelings and opinions and it feels like home
