Inistol and Maca Root

Hi there has anyone had any experience with using Inistol and Maca Root? Abit of background i’ve been ttc for 6 months, i had 2 chemicals back to back when i started and not been able to conceive since. My cycles have ranged from 28 - 35 days over the past 6 months and ovulation day has ranged from day 17 to 21…i’ve recently been having acupuncture for fertility and my therapist recommended inistol and maca root, my oestrogen levels are on the lower end of normal but not low… i don’t suffer with PCOS so unsure if i should take the supplements especially inistol as i don’t want it to mess my cycle further… again not sure what my issue is as i’ve had an ultrasound and all seems good and bloods were pretty normal. I’m open to trying anything that helps, ive been taken coq10, NAC and folic acid for the last few months..

I did try maca root after someone said on here. It helped with my ovluation, but I didn't catch. I tried it for 3 months, and my husband took it as well. Did make our sex drive higher than normal. Like you had a chemical and been trying since, I had all the tests done and ultrasound are came back normal.

@Kirsty Ahh ok, i’m taking it now to see if it changes anything, i’m having a lot of supplement so weary to try anything that will further complicate things… sending baby dust your way 🙏🏽✨

I take folic acid and vitamin D xx

Maca root really messed up my very regular cycles and it took me 3 months to get back to my norm, so on the 4th cycle only. So I’d say if you have regular cycles and you ovulate regularly too, do look at side effects before taking anything as once this happened to me and I googled if it happened to anyone else, turned out it was very common. What could help maybe - is baby aspirin, it’s commonly prescribed to women who experience RPL, I was prescribed it too and conceived the cycle I started it. But I am not a doctor and was diagnosed with thrombophilia, so I will have to take it for the rest of my life:)

@Holly baby aspirin? Xx

@Kirsty lol yeah, seems what it’s called colloquially. Just a low dose of aspirin really. I’m on 80mg nightly 😅

@Holly does it help with getting pregnant? Xx

@Kirsty it is believed to help women who experience recurring pregnancy loss. I’m not a doctor so please don’t take my word as medical advice. Having said that I was prescribed it to help sustain a pregnancy and it helped me. It doesn’t do any harm but if one is already on blood thinners, I would stay away from it. Maybe ask your doc about this! :)

@Holly yeah think I might do a bit of research and have a chat with my GP xx
