What's your best house cleaning hack?

The one I know and try to do is a load of laundry every day. When I stick to it my life is a lot easier.

I sweep everything into a pile then sort thru it instead of walking around picking everything up. Kinda like the Joey foe typa cleaning style

Robo-vacuum/mop for the in between deeper cleans My shark vacuum runs daily so I only have to focus on vacuuming corners and hard to reach places. I just got the mop attachment and it’s currently running for the first time. I can already tell it definitely is not a great mop job but it will get the formula droplets from when my son pushes the sippy cup onto the floor.

Just throw it away. If something is annoying me I just throw it away. Sorry did you need that? Guess you shouldn’t have left it there lol

I saw something on instagram which I’ve been doing and it actually is making me feel less overwhelmed with all the cleaning. It’s called the 1% cleaning hack, every time you go into a room do something that will take no time at all but make it a little bit tidier, even if it’s just pick up a glass and take it to the kitchen or put my sons books back on his bookcase. My worst thing has always been keeping on top of the mess that comes with a child and then when I come to do the cleaning I’m overwhelmed because of all the tidying I have to do first. This has helped with that!

Don’t put it down, put it away.

My best house cleaning hack is don’t have pets or children and never be at home 🤣

@Lucy I do this a lot. Like, sometimes when my daughter goes down for her nap and I look at the mess she's made, I take a deep breath and just make the bed, or clear the dresser. Even though there will still be toys on the floor, just having the bed made somehow makes the room feel less hectic lol

Spend time cleaning daily with kids-clean up time can be sweeping together, putting away toys etc. I have little kid hooks and shelves for shoes. Teaching them to put things in the right place cuts down on SOME of the mess

Whenever you have grease or spaghetti sauce in a pan/container wipe the container out with a pepper towel (or newspaper is what my mom would say but who has those around anymore lol) first! Much easier to clean the pan & Plastic can be porous! When you go to wash it the red sauce or grease will seep in, which is why it’s so hard to get the red sauce stain or grease out! I make spaghetti regularly and don’t own a single stained Tupperware 😇

@Aamira yes totally agree. Before I used to look at it, feel overwhelmed and just avoid it 🤦‍♀️

I wake up 30 minutes before the kids unload dishwasher from night before. Start load of laundry (always fold in kids room while playing) put it away otherwise it piles up. Prep dinner if I can then try to make it out alive the rest of the day. I sweep and mop after kids go to bed.

@Tessa relatable 😂

I like to cook meals that my family can eat for two nights. Less dishes to clean!! I also immediately stack the dishwasher as soon as everyone is done eating. And I rinse every dish as soon as I’m done using it and put it in the dishwasher. It’s the easiest way to keep the kitchen clean and takes no time at all. Instant pot cooking has been my go to since having a baby.

@Samantha ugh so wish I had one

@Tessa dead. This is the level I've reached

Just as a way of keeping on top of things I set a 10/20 minute timer and clean/tidy as much as I can in that time!

@Brittany I'm shocked you can prep dinner too

Anything worth doing is worth doing half assed! Aka you can just a little and not make it perfect or finished. Don’t have time to do the dishes? Half ass it! Just put them in the sink? Ect Got this from the book “How to keep House while Drowning”

I dont leave anything on the floor. This helps me put stuff away. And i vacuum daily.

When I see the room start to look real messy. I scan the floor, and pick everything off the floor, as soon as the floor is clear it helps things look neater.

I own a cleaning business so I just clean my house when it needs it. Clenaing doesn’t bother me and really doesn’t take long. And 2 deep cleans through the month while baby wearing

My laundry hack is collect every individuals laundry separately & do the loads separate cause then you don’t have to sort out who’s items are who’s after the dryer Towels and sheets get washed together 🤷‍♀️

If I run the dishwasher in the evening and unload the it the morning. But this happens 3 out of 7 days maybe lol but it is the best feeling for the start of the day

Rubber gloves pick up pet hair on upholstery and fabric better than almost anything. Like cheap kitchen gloves.

I do a house shut down after the little is in bed. Also a quick tidy up while he naps 3/5 minutes to put things back where they belong so it’s not total chaos. Prep bath stuff in a bundle/stack so it’s easy to pull out and not a mess to find at bath time. I clean one zone a day so it’s only an hour or 90 minutes of cleaning a day. And do a load of laundry every day if not 2 (we cloth diaper)

Do one major cleaning chore a day or do one room a day

Clean up while you cook, if you’re done with a dish/pot, put it straight in the dishwasher! Also clean while you play with littles! If we are done with a toy, we pack it away before we bring out the next one. Doesn’t always work but when it does work it really helps!

I pick up the house daily, do dishes daily. Vaccum the floors every other day. Do laundry one to two times a week, my house is always clean

@Lindsay yes I've implemented this
