@Natalie Thank you, he has been talking about monsters recently saying they are upstairs so that’s probably it. He settled as soon as he got in our bed bless him so I’m glad he felt safe and comfortable xx
It does sound like a phase of separation anxiety. We got a nightlight which worked for a bit. But he has been waking and coming into our bed around 1ish for the last few months. We go with it as he wants to be close to us and as long as he goes to sleep I don’t mind 😂 he goes to bed about 9 so tends to sleep in until about 7.30-8 so wake up not too bad x
We had a few episodes of waking up crying and I think it’s a start of children’s nightmares which is normal at this age. So I definitely let him sleep in our bed and encourage this so he knows the safe place. We adults know that monsters don’t exist but it’s serious for a child and it’s important to support them
