I'm not on anything currently. We just use condoms every time. But I was on the combined pill for 11 years prior. It's worth trying the pill, there are lots of different ones and you should find one for you. I've been on 4 variants of the combined pill. 1st one made me manically depressed but no weight gain. 2nd one have me 24/7 stomach cramps, but no weight gain 3rd one made me have zero sexual interest at all and I gained weight. 4th one less of a nun but still low libido and weight gain that I couldn't stop (I was on a 600 to 800 callorie diet to just maintain, which was miserable!!!! As soon as I came off that pill I lost 2 stone in a month just eating normally so around 1500 to 1800.
@Megan I haven’t heard that! I have heard about it could lead to brain tumors as well so I’m definitely wanting to make a switch in some way 😅
I was on the depo for 4 years before my baby and got back on it right after birth. It’s the only one I really know that works for me. I did gain weight the first year I had it but I couldn’t tell you if it was lifestyle change or due to the shot. I was also on the pill years prior to the shot and I had all the symptoms. (Weight gain, mood changes, morning sickness for a while lol). The only benefit I had was that my acne got better at the time. But I don’t have acne/pimples anymore. I was also not great at taking the pill on time. So if you’re really timely it would work. But if not getting pregnant is the goal and you have ANY doubts about taking the pill at the exact same time every day. I’d find another option. My old roommate loved the Noova ring. But I have no experience to tell you 😓
I don’t even want to go back on BC. I think we will just do pull out method and track my cycles. I won’t mind if I get pregnant again after this one though

Yasmine, Millinette, Gedarel and rigevidon I believe. One of them might work for you.
If you have been on the depo shot for two years they recommend going on to another form of BC if you can due to issues it causing bone density issues😬 I had the implant in my arm it worked for me and I got pregnant the month after it was removed, it can cause longer periods in some cases though or cause them to stop like it did for me 🙂 (no experience with the pill)
