Here's the Walton street one ... https://www.htaylesbury.org/lighthouse-carer-toddler-group-2/
Have you tried the stay and play in the museum? X
@Danielle I've seen this advertised online but it is religious. Exposure to religion is good but we are not religious ourselves. We've done bounce and rhyme a few times, or at least caught the end of it. No one talks to me though. I've found people already have friend/family with them.
@Candice I've not. Been to the museum itself though. Have you been to it's stay and play? Any good?
@Nikki it’s cheap £2 and there was other small children there but not too many. Quite small as well but you might be able to get on okay there?? I think the layout of the room forces the mums to speak xxx
@Candice someone posted some photos in Aylesbury mum group on Facebook today. Realised I've been there on a non stay and play session, just a a museum visit. When we went on that visit it looked dirty and a bit trashed. The photos on Facebook though had more toys/resources and much nicer. But for two quid it's worth checking out. On a Wednesday though when I'm at work but my partner he might take her
@Nikki it just depends what your priorities are. If it’s finding something walking distance & mamas can sit around and talk then they probably won’t be the cleanest of settings :( I’d rather sit somewhere clean by myself lol but it just depends what you prefer x
There’s the splat messy play groups on Monday which are talkative but I don’t know if that’s too far from you. Have you tried the bus?
Hiya. In that area you might find the church playgroups are the easiest to get to. There's one during the week at the Methodist church on Buckingham Street in town, and one in the church on Walton street I think - if you check their websites should be able to get details. We got to cha cha chimps and they have a few groups but you'd probably have to bus to them as Stoke mandeville/weston Turville/berryfields. There's bounce and rhyme at the library on a Friday at 10 too I think.
