Do you like your partner better after being taken off of hormonal birth control?

Can anyone tell me there experience? Do you feel more like yourself? Also any recommendations for not getting pregnant with out taking birth control 😂

After over 15 years on all different birth control I came off when I was 30 and we said we were ready to have a baby, took us 3 years but we got there. In that time I discovered how much birth control changed me and clouded my mind that I am really unsure if I want to go back to it or not. We have discussed this and we both agreed we don’t want another baby and my partner did offer to get a vasectomy, whilst it is still all in discussion we are using good ole faithful condoms. I feel like a teenager buying them and sure it’s annoying having that pause to sort it out in the moment, but I am enjoying the lack of mess 🤣 So yes I feel more like myself, but still haven’t worked out a long term plan to not get pregnant again

@Liza thank you!

Yep. Birth control changed my whole personality for the worse. Getting off of it and staying off of it was the best decision I ever made. Track your cycle and BBT so you know when you ovulate and know when to not have sex.

you’re better off mentally and health-wise off the pill. so bad for you :/

Took the pill for over 10 years and loved it! Got off it when I was trying for a baby and don’t want to go back on it. The pill was great for me however I feel more in tune with my body not on it
