It was the first antidepressant I tried. Personally, I didn't get on with it. It made me sleepy all the time, really sick in the stomach, and used to give me vertigo. I've tried a couple but can't remember the name of them, ended up on duloxetine which was the best one.

When I first started them I felt a lot better but after a while I just started to feel worse and still felt depressed and just felt like they weren’t working anymore

When I first started them the first few weeks were rough I think I had pretty much every side effect there was to get.. once they kicked in they worked brilliantly for me, you do feel worse before you feel better

Love my sertraline! I tried a few others before landing on it! And we have changed the dosage a lot. But I have very few side effects.

I liked it a lot. I suggest taking it about 30 minutes before bedtime to help with the sleepiness

I like it. I went on it because of PPD. I didn't have any side effects starting it. It didn't make me feel like anything so after a few months I just stopped it because I thought I didn't need it...well que all the problems and thoughts I was having prior to starting 🤣 plus some withdrawal symptoms (shaky/dizzy).

I took this prior to pregnancy. Id do ur research before commiting to this during pregnancy. Yes its one of the most commenly prescribed in pregnancy but the potential risks arnt worth it to me. Look at the numbers, statistacs and case studdies. Then make ur own choice.

There's one very important thing that you need to know about sertraline, it takes you down before bringing you up. It's just how it works, you'll feel worse but as soon as it starts kicking in properly, believe me, it's amazing how much better it can make you feel! I've stopped it during pregnancy and I will likely go back on it as soon as baby's born (I'm almost at 40 weeks).

I am on these and have been on them previously. It’s about getting the dosage right I personally think. To begin with I felt sick and a bit headachy but your body is amazing and will soon adapt and you will feel better. But if you don’t always go back and they can adjust the dosage until it’s right for you!
