@Taylor thank you so much!
@Jenessa you’re welcome! I hope your twins recover quick! Fair warning, it’s going to be a tough week because it usually comes with sores in their mouth and throats, so they may cry and scream and try to avoid feeds for a couple days. We gave Tylenol to try and help with pain
My LO just got over that. His started as a rash on his arm and quickly spread all over his body. Thankfully he didn't get any of the blisters in his mouth. But his hands were covered with the rash and blisters so his little fingers were so fat and sore. Tylenol helped with the discomfort and loose clothes helped my son with the discomfort. Lots of diaper cream on the rash around the bum and if needed use aquaphor on other areas. Wash everything constantly. Especially your hands and anything they come in contact with. My SO got it from my son and he said it's extremely painful (he got the mouth blisters). Hand in there. It's going to be a long rough week.
I second what @Liz said. My daughter just had hand foot and mouth and she only got a few spots on her face and legs, really mild case. I've never had it and I caught it from her and I've had a really bad case with a strong immune response. Wash everything, only wear clothes once, bath every day, wash hands regularly ESPECIALLY after handling poo as it's one of the ways it spreads. Hopefully they have a mild case!
The spots look way too big to be hfmd. When my kids had it in december it didnt look like that but again it might be different for each person.
@Taylor they have been eating, but my son is getting worse. Thank you, I gave him infant Tylenol so!
@Liz thank you so much! My son doesn’t have any on his mouth, but they are becoming blisters all over his legs, it’s developing worse. My daughter is actually doing pretty good. I’ve been giving him Tylenol and Benadryl. He’s just sleeping all day.
@Emma that’s what I’m assuming now. My daughter has it on her mouth and everything but it’s not bad. My son is really bad, they are becoming blisters on his legs. Thank you so much, I’ve been a clean freak these past couple of days
@M 🍃🌷🐈⬛ that’s what I think, my daughter looks like she has it, but then my son is only developing on his legs and they are huge, big blisters. But if she has it then that means he has it which means they are just developing differently
@Jenessa my son had some pretty large spots on his legs and face that looked very similar to the picture you posted. Most of them were much smaller, more rash looking though.
My daughter had HFM! To help the itchiness I gave her oatmeal baths and applied aquaphor all over her body before bed time. It’ll get worse before it gets better. Sending love!🥲
It showed up on my kids’ legs and diaper area first. I thought it was a diaper rash. It wasn’t until day 3 of the rash I started to notice it around the face and appearing on the hands. There isn’t much you can do except to keep the area clean and wash your hands thoroughly because it is highly contagious. It should subside in about 10-14days (hopefully sooner) You or your partner could’ve carried the bacteria into the home by coming in contact with some fluid from an infected individual. It’s very easy to transmit, unfortunately. Be cautious cause I hear it sucks even more for adults to get it 😳
