“You are matter, but you don’t.”

It means you don’t matter. I fell like I do matter and saying I don’t matter makes it a really negative saying. Maybe if you say it to someone you don’t like it’s a good clap back, not definitely not a motivational quote to put on your wall

I see, I don’t see it as a negative thing. I personally don’t think anybody matters, myself included, But we likely just have differing philosophical stances.

You do matter. It’s one of those things where you may not understand your role in the world but I think everyone matters. It’s I guess like the butterfly effect.., where one little thing can set off a train of events that you can’t possibly know. I like how 911 is the reason Ellen got cancelled… all the choices that were made to get there made a difference on the way there whether or not and u don’t think any of the people would think individually these choices matter but in the end things happened like Gerald Way would have no idea him watching the twin towers get hit would lead down to my chemical romance which inspired twilight which inspired EL James to eventually write 50 Shades of Grey and what about the others inspired by Gerald Way like… you never know what your actions can cause… until your story is fully written.

I just view it differently, “You are matter, but you don’t” isn’t just saying “you don’t matter” it’s saying there’s no reason for you to believe “it’s” about YOU. 🤷‍♀️

I think that's quite a typical way for a big company to think about their consumers, but in personal relations it is irrelevant. I build relationships by caring about people, and showing people their value. The people I care about might not be important in running the world but they're so important in my world.

@Claudia oh I wasn’t even thinking about corporations, I was thinking like grand scale of the universe But I’ve never experienced much kindness or true friendship soo yeah I don’t view it the same way 🤷‍♀️

@Parker 又 I understand you girl! These people are too focused on their egos and that “they matter”. We’re here on earth not to be focused on our egos but to enjoy this adventure of life until we pass. Everyone is too focused on the “self”. In order to live correctly you should let go of ego and self. Thanks for thinking differently!
