Repeat leukocytes in wee sample

So I had a consultants appointment a couple of weeks ago and there was high leukocytes in my wee so they sent it off for testing, it came back not growing so they said nothing to worry about. Just had my 16 week midwife appointment and the same again, high leukocytes, so she’s sent it off again but she said if it comes back as not growing again then there’s nothing they’ll do. Anyone else had this without having signs of infection? It’s just a bit concerning it’s happened two appointments in a row now.

It could just be a contaminated sample. The reason for sending it to the lab is to confirm if there is a bacterial infection in the urine that needs treating (versus some other non infective reason for white blood cells being in your urine). If nothing grows, there is no infection, and nothing to worry about!

@Sophie thanks, I’m an absolute hypochondriac 😂

I had this for nearly the whole of third trimester and nothing ever came of it. Baby girl here now safe and well! Try not to worry x

@Grace thank you, that’s very reassuring!

I had this for the third trimester, nothing was ever wrong, just measuring high. They told me to drink more water!
