Awful. Within the first week of getting it in, It went clear through my uterus wall and was in my abdomen. It was very painful. Not very common but there’s always the off chance. If anyone ever asks me I tell them don’t get an iud!! Haha

My IUD got lost a lot, and once I got it out they found cyst all over my ovaries. Now I have PCOS and the symptoms that come with it are terrible.

I had a perfect iud experience and I still don’t recommend it. The insertion was extremely painful (though I had it pre-pregnancy) I didn’t get my period for the 5 years that it was in, never had any complications but my mental health spiraled and my hormones were so fucked. Removal was fine I got my period 3 months later and after about 6m-1y I felt like my normal self again (: Still don’t recommend

Horrible. Caused ovarian cysts that sent me into surgery. They told me they don’t cause ovarian cysts but I had none before and have had none since getting it removed.

I got the copper one and so far I have no complaints. Even getting it inserted was only uncomfortable, but not painful. Yet be aware that this doesn’t seem to be the norm! I don’t feel like I have any mood swings, or hormonal chaos, besides the regular post partum chaos Only thing I noticed is light cramping about once a month. Still haven’t gotten my period (or had any spotting) but I do feel like i am about to get it every month

Had the Mirena, and got monthly uti's with it. Dr blew me off saying not possible, so I got it removed. Had one last one where the urgent care dr told yes it's possible, gave me a stronger dose of antibiotics and haven't had a uti since

Im on my second one and to be honest I’ve been very happy. The insertion of the first one was a bit painful but the second one was either a different doctor and I barely had discomfort. So far all good

I’ve recommended it to so many people! My heavy periods went from 10/10 to 0.5/10 Yeah, it hurts a lot when going in, but I haven’t had to buy pads or tampons since having it implanted three years ago. Just pantyliners. That alone makes it worth it to me.
