It can be isolating and lonely sometimes. My oldest sister (3 kids) calls me just almost daily. Sometimes we don’t always talk, just have each other on the phone for company.
@Laura They didn’t say it, but that’s what I’m guessing. Always talking about themselves or their/our friends, instead of asking about my new life :/
It fucking is!! Just being honest. And to counter this, I make it my personal mission to get out of the house. Now that it’s getting warmer and pleasant outside I stay busy. I also got a family gym membership. I pay $130 and they provide 2hrs of free childcare so I can workout in peace. I have taken some fitness classes and met some ladies (some aren’t mom and it’s whatever). I also put my kids in sports on the weekends so they can socialize and I can meet other parents too! We have a dinner date with one of the parents next weekend. Also, if you like to watch reality tv shows or just shit talk about anything in life….HIT ME UP! I can talk on the phone for hours 😂 my bestie and I will call each other and not talk for hours too.
It can be lonely. Did someone say that's why they don't call? Well clearly they have no interesting conversation starters themselves then!
