Reoccurring UTI or something else?
Hi, I was in hospital about two weeks ago with awful stomach cramps. They put it down to a urine infection and gave me antibiotics. Two weeks later and I’m still in quite a lot of pain with stomach cramps and feel like it’s still there, if not gotten worse.
Who would I contact? The MAU or just my GP?

@J I think they just assumed as all my urine samples came back clear
@Hannah they just throw antibiotics at everyone these days 🤦🏻♀️ talk to your midwife, maybe ask for more samples to be tested too One of my urine samples was sent off labelled as me not being pregnant so they only tested for 3 common UTIs but when its labelled as pregnant they test for more just to be sure so definitely ask for more testing just incase they missed something If its not a UTI keep pushing for other tests and scans to find what it is

I would say MAU, did the hospital actually test your urine for a uti or just assume you had one and gave you antibiotics?
