Still early days yet, don’t worry - you’re not at your due date even, still time for the baby to engage

How comes you were offered a sweep?? I’m 40+3 and only having one tomorrow. She said they don’t do them before 40 weeks now. You’re still very early, baby can literally engage during labour.

@Holly because I had Csection with my first and didn’t dialate. They’re refusing sweep because babies not engaged

My sisters little boy didn’t engage until her labour started… he was born within 2 hours at 41 weeks. Whereas my first born was engaged from quite early on and he didn’t come until 41 weeks, 6 days 😂 I hope you get your vbac lovely - I’m hoping for the same this time round 🤞 X

@Roxanne I really hope so I just really wanted that sweep

With my first, my first sweep at 40+4 couldn’t be carried out as my cervix too hard, however I went into natural labour 18 hours later, and had a vbac - not any help but a positive experience of things quickly changing 😊

@Rachel this gives me hope thank you so much. I hope I can have a vbac. Trying to stay positive is hard

@Holly depends on midwife’s personal choice. They recommend 40 weeks but if your adamant for legit reasons like mental health or pgp etc they can bypass and do sooner depending if your dilated. Just depends on practice
