Copper Coil contraception method,any advice?

Hi lovely mums, Is there anyone here who used or still using the copper coil as a contraception? I have a son who is 2 months old now and I need to go back on contraception.I always used the vaginal ring.My GP advise me not to used that anymore because my epilepsy medication can interact with that. Happy to hear any advice and share experiences. Thanks Frá

I used the copper coil for about 10 years before having my children. Bleeding was a bit all over the place just after but once it settled down it was great and I got periods as normal. It's non hormonal so a really good alternative if you don't want to or can't have hormones 🙂

Thanks Daniella:)I will book an appointment with a gynecologist to find out about my uterus situation and maybe try with this! Thanks again!

Hiya, I had a very bad experience with this. Very heavy and painful bleeding to the point where I was bent over double most of the time and my periods lasted more than 10 days some months. I think it had something to do with the positioning and I know it had worked well for some people I know so give it a try xx

I am sorry you had bad experience with this.I'll give it try, anyway! Thanks ARC:)

I had it before this baby and found it okay but periods definitely did get heavier and more painful first couple years of it being in but it did settle and then was no issue at all

Thanks Herbi:)
