IVF ICSI

Anyone Nottingham based who’s been through or starting IVF, I’m so nervous, I’ve got my first consultation on Wednesday but I just have no idea what to expect, how long we will be waiting for treatment. My husband has a condition called oats. I haven’t had any investigations yet. I haven’t been told that we are definitely doing IVF, ICSI but I have a friend who’s a fertility specialist and she’s seen my husbands results and seems to think that’s the course of treatment we will be offered.

Been through it. With baby 1, and now pregnant again with baby 2. Both ivf

We had ivf icsi at nurture in Nottingham. (Our nhs round was in Leicester, so we paid privately at Nottingham) my husband also has severe oats and we were put forward for icsi straight away. We now have a 21 month old and I’m 23 weeks pregnant with my second. There were no issues on my side. They basically only need a few good sperm to fertilise the eggs they collect from you. My husband did take Procieve (the tablets worked better than the sachets) and it did improve his sperm, but not to 100% normal levels.

We had ICSI at nurture, we had an extremely long journey but our miracle little girl will be 1 on Sunday 🌈 my partner was also told he had OATS by nurture but all the other specialists we saw weren’t convinced by this! Feel free to pop me a message if you want to chat x

I’m not in Nottingham but we started infertility investigations through the drs in August 2021, had our first appointment at the fertility clinic in June 2022 then had our first round of ICSI in November 2022. My partner has OATs and I have PCOS. We only had 1 embryo make it to 5 day blastocyst and she is now 19 months old.

I had IVF at nurture Nottingham. Happy to talk anytime. Feel free to add me x
